Statement of Faith

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the written Word of God – inspired by the Holy Spirit, recorded by human authors, and completely trustworthy. It reveals who God is, how we are to live, and points us to Jesus in every page. Scripture is our final authority for faith, doctrine, and everyday life.

Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:15–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; 1 Thessalonians 2:13

God, the Great I AM

We believe in one true, living God – the Great I AM – Creator of heaven and earth, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is holy, loving, just, and good in all His ways.

Scripture: Genesis 1:1; Genesis 1:26; Deuteronomy 6:4; John 14:26

Jesus Christ, the Son of God

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, the Word made flesh. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, revealed the Father perfectly, and demonstrated the Kingdom of God through signs, wonders, and miracles.

Scripture: Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18–23; John 1:1–5; Luke 1:26–35; John 21:25

He Is Risen, His Death, Burial & Resurrection

We believe Jesus willingly died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for our sins. He was buried, descended to the heart of the earth, and on the third day rose again in victory with the keys of death and the grave. He ascended to the right hand of the Father, is alive forevermore, and will return in glory.

Scripture: Matthew 12:40; Romans 8:34; 1 Corinthians 15:1–4; Ephesians 1:20–23

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Godhead, promised by the Father and sent by the Son. He convicts the world of sin, draws people to Jesus, regenerates and indwells believers, and empowers us to live holy lives and be bold witnesses. He is our Comforter, Counselor, Teacher, and closest Friend.

Scripture: John 14:16–17, 26; John 16:7–8; Acts 1:4–8

The Simple Gospel

We believe Jesus carried our sin, sickness, and shame on the cross. Through His shed blood and resurrection, He offers forgiveness, new birth, and restored relationship with the Father. Salvation is a free gift of grace received by repentance and faith in Christ alone – not by our works, but for good works.

Scripture: John 3:16; Romans 3:23–24; Ephesians 2:8–10

Salvation

We believe every person must personally respond to the gospel by turning from sin and trusting Jesus as Lord and Savior. When we call on His name, we are forgiven, made new, adopted into God’s family, and given eternal life. We are also called to live as ambassadors of His Kingdom in this present world.

Scripture: Acts 2:38; John 1:12; Romans 10:9–10; 2 Corinthians 5:17–20

Baptism in Water

We believe water baptism is a command of Jesus and a public declaration that we have died with Christ and been raised with Him into new life. It is an outward sign of an inward reality and a powerful act of obedience and identification with His death, burial, and resurrection.

Scripture: Matthew 28:19; Acts 10:47–48; Romans 6:3–11

Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit as an experience distinct from new birth, in which the Holy Spirit comes upon the believer with power for witness and service. We welcome the gifts of the Spirit in our lives and gatherings, including praying in a heavenly language, as the Spirit gives utterance.

Scripture: Acts 1:8; Acts 2:1–4, 17–18; Acts 10:44–46

Walking Like a Disciple

We believe every believer is called to follow Jesus as a disciple – learning His ways, obeying His Word, and becoming like Him. Following Jesus means denying ourselves, taking up our cross, and living a lifestyle of love, humility, holiness, and obedience to the Great Commission.

Scripture: Matthew 16:24; Matthew 28:18–20; Mark 16:15–18

Gifts for Every Believer

We believe the Holy Spirit distributes gifts to every believer for the building up of the Body of Christ and the advancement of the Kingdom. These include both the nine manifestation gifts of the Spirit and the grace gifts listed in Scripture. Every son and daughter has a part to play and a gift to bring.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:4–11; Romans 12:6–8; 1 Peter 4:10–11

Sanctification

We believe sanctification is both a finished work in Christ and an ongoing process by which the Holy Spirit makes us more like Jesus. By grace, we learn to say “no” to sin and “yes” to righteousness, being transformed in our thoughts, desires, and actions as we renew our minds with the Word of God.

Scripture: Romans 6:1–11; Romans 12:1–2; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Hebrews 13:12; 1 Corinthians 1:30

The Church

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ and the dwelling place of God through the Spirit. It is made up of all believers, across nations and generations, who confess Jesus as Lord. The Church is called to love God, love people, preach the gospel, make disciples, and bring the Kingdom of God to earth as it is in heaven.

Scripture: Matthew 28:19–20; Mark 16:15–20; Ephesians 1:22–23; Ephesians 2:19–22

Five-Fold Ministry

We believe Jesus has given apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to equip the saints for the work of ministry and to build up His Body. These gifts function together so that the Church grows in maturity, unity, and the full expression of Christ in the earth.

Scripture: Ephesians 4:11–15; Ephesians 2:20–22

Hope of Our Salvation

We believe in the blessed hope – the soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The dead in Christ will rise first, and those who are alive in Him will be caught up together with them to be with the Lord forever. This hope strengthens us to live holy, devoted lives today.

Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; 1 Corinthians 15:51–55; Titus 2:11–13; Romans 8:23–24

Judgement

We believe there will be a final judgment in which all will stand before God. Those who are in Christ will be rewarded according to their works, and those whose names are not written in the Book of Life will face eternal separation from God. God’s judgments are righteous and true.

Scripture: Matthew 25:31–46; Revelation 20:11–15; Hebrews 9:27

New Heaven & New Earth

We believe that God will create a new heaven and a new earth where righteousness dwells. All things will be made new, every tear will be wiped away, and we will dwell with God forever in unbroken fellowship, worship, and joy.

Scripture: 2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:1–5; Revelation 7:15–17
